Current mood: calm Well, it's 4:04 AM, and I should be working on my homework! I have a grammar research paper due today, and I still didn't do my Spanish, physics, math or the grammar chapter! I've been making a habit of not sleeping at night this week...and it's all Nick Sanborn's fault. This is Nick Sanborn: Anyway, today (yesterday) at school we had a fire drill. We have so many fire drills, it's ridiculous. It was cold today too. Current mood: indifferent Originally posted as a comment on Melissa Zehner's blog, in response to her comment on mine: 1/3/2006 2:00:00 PM Charlie, why were you not at school today, i missed you terribly in all three of the classes you missed! Simply unacceptable! My response: Arg, I am soo sorry! What did I miss? I woke up at 5:40 and turned on the toaster - I got everything ready for school the night before, including putting the pop-tarts in the toaster...so while they were cooking, I fell asleep!!! I then re-woke at 6:40, meaning I did not have time to go to dad's to shower, and I didn't shower in like 4 days, so there was NO way I was going to school without showering. Arg, so since I was going to miss first hour, I decided there was no point in going to school at all. Now I need to get a medical excuse because I have no...25 December 2005

Current mood: inspired Apparently I did not write on my experience with The Butterfly Effect (2004) when I watched it a couple of weeks ago. It was intense. Tonight was not much different. I stopped in to Subway upon returning from Mayfair where I was doing my Christmas shopping. I bought books for everyone in my family. I love books. I wish I read more. Anyway, I ended up bringing Matt Kreuger over to watch The Butterfly Effect, him for the first time, and I for the second. I was happy to have someone next to me experiencing the movie with me, even though I probably react differently than most people, or at least Matt. I did notice that the second time watching it I was much more emotional. My head was still going insane, as it did last time, but this time I found myself on the verge of crying at least half-a-dozen times. I felt very weird -...Why do cars need gas?

Yeah, so normally I can go pretty far below the 'E' before I run out of gas...(that's right, I said normally - so you're thinking, man, what did he do now...well read on) I left this morning ON the 'E,' so I should totally have been able to get to school on what I had left. So I'm on E, right? (Highway E) I'm headed toward Hartford, behind the really slow car. It was travelling like right at the speed limit. Who does that?! Well, I decided to pass, and I did it rather aggressively (you know, gotta show that car who's boss...). I then almost immediately begin to slow down. WHAT?! I knew it - I had run out of gas. I coasted for a bit - then when my power-assisted steering went out, I knew I had better do something..so I pull into the driveway of like the only house in this expanse of nothing..leaving some space on...WHY!?

Current mood: good Today I met Ryan Cabrera - Awesome! Beginning twenty minutes late, Ryan sang five or six songs for the audience of less than 200. It was pretty intimate. He's such a nice guy, and funny too. He admitted that he had just woken up before he got there, so he'll "wake up with us." In response to some questions, he told us that he began playing guitar when he was 16 (He's now 23). He told a member of the audience that he'd marry her. Darn, there goes my dream! If he could go on tour with anyone, he'd choose "Lil' Dave Matthews." Aww, I would love that! I was less than pleased with thepicture-taking process. It was very rushed, and four people to a picture. We couldn't even use our own cameras for the most part. Oh well, I'll have to wait till the picture is on the radio stations' websites. I have a feeling I...Cabrera, Cabrera, Cabrera...

Current mood: busy Working REALLY hard on this Cabrera thing... The outlook for going to lunch with Ryan this Saturday isn't so good, but apparently on October 27th I can meet Ryan again, except this time without 200 other people... we'll see - cross your fingers! I got my digital camera back from Canon the other day - unrepaired, because a small dent caused them to determine my warranty was void. Therefore, DON'T BUY CANON PRINTERS OR CAMERAS THEY SUCK, AND SO DOES CANON SUPPORT That said, when a person wants to believe something, it doesn't take much to convince them. Let's hope that I haven't fallen victim to this again. Current mood: cheerful This is not a relfection of myself (right now), but rather a cute poem that I ran across in the book Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters. Abel Melveny I BOUGHT every kind of machine thats known Grinders, shellers, planters, mowers, Mills and rakes and ploughs and threshers And all of them stood in the rain and sun, Getting rusted, warped and battered, 5 For I had no sheds to store them in, And no use for most of them. And toward the last, when I thought it over, There by my window, growing clearer About myself, as my pulse slowed down, 10 And looked at one of the mills I bought Which I didnt have the slightest need of, As things turned out, and I never ran A fine machine, once brightly varnished, And eager to do its work, 15 Now...Ryan Cabrera!

Current mood: predatory My new home. All by my lonesome. How exciting! I officially am moved in as of yesterday. On Sunday, I went with my mom and siblings to Botanas near 5th and National. I have never been to that particular eatery before, and I loved it! The food was really good, especially my chimichanga! Except my older sister Kim ate half of it! Oh well, it was still to die for. I think I'm going to Applebees tonight - I can't wait, I love eating out! School is going rather well - Spanish IV isn't bad yet, and Sr. Scharpf seems like he's in a pretty good mood for the year, so yay! Grammar is exciting me, I'm going to love it. My whole schedule rocks! Six classes and then I go home, and I only have to eat lunch at school on days 6-8. Awesome! Alright, I'm done raving, because I have to get back to work!...

Nobody wanted to be my friend today. (On MySpace) I just got home from the store - the night I didn't have to go home right after work. I called Nick Sanborn, but he had plans to play with his friends. I called Amy Velic, but she couldn't really go out past 10ish, so I dont know. I was sitting at my store, lights out, wondering what to do. Not helping was a bright yellow car parked right outside my window, under the light. Jordan was bowling with his friends - and he told me to come and say hi, but I didn't. For one, I thought they were going to be bowling for a while - and I didn't want to invite myself to their party, so I figured I wouldn't even say hi - plus, I was scared. Then, Jordan's friends dropped him off by the store, and apparently he knew I was still there (duh, my car),...What a run

I'm feeling quite a bit better than I was when I wrote the last entry...the entry that none of you (as if I had readers!) could see, because it's hidden! I'll only show it to one person...and only if (s)he asks! Basically I over-reacted to something rather small - and whatever happens happens for the best, so I shouldn't worry. Don't fret Charlie! Current mood: accomplished So I got to my 1.2 mile half-way point during my run tonight, and I decided out of the emotion of the night that I'll run an extra mile. That's a total of 3.4 miles, and I feel good. I love that sweaty tired-as-heck feeling I have when I run farther than usual. Cool! Erica Kelly Dang Charlie datz one heck of a run =/ i couldn't even run around da block yet alone 3.4 miles.. nice job *clapz* Posted by [SnicKa Wha] on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 6:43 PM...Continued
