Quantcast Art awards, math meet, a wedding, and Matt Kreuger - Through Charlie Gorichanaz's Eyes

Art awards, math meet, a wedding, and Matt Kreuger

Melissa Z called me at work on Saturday, January 28th to see if I could go to the Art Museum with her. She was covering the Scholastic Artist awards for the Hartford Union High School newspaper. I gladly agreed. It was fun!

Aspiring artist Jenna Be. accepting her silver key award.

Aspiring artist Nyla H accepting her silver key award.

There they are again!

Marlee M's Amoebic Bass sculpture. Wow. And they spelled her name wrong on the plaque. Melissa Z and I spent a good 20 minutes trying to get it changed...only to end up using Melissa's makeup to make the modification.

This is pretty crazy, but I like it. Glass!

This painting looked like a photograph from a distance! It is by the talented Mark Villanova, a junior from Arrowhead High School.

Melissa Z and I under the thing.

Back at Subway that night... This change machine always gives two dimes and a nickel instead of a quarter. This was the FIRST TIME EVER that it gave three quarters out! How exciting!

Kelly E, obviously elated to be photographed during Accounting II

Jenna C is, um, I don't know what she's doing. It looks strenuous though.

Melissa Z just got her PB&J sandwich container! She's excited!

Valerie M hates me I think. She'd enthralled that I had lunch with her today. Lol!

The math meet on Thursday at Wisconsin Lutheran High School was most exciting! I did alright - I got a 20 out of 30 on the individual tests. Eh, I totally could have done better, especially if I'd have written my CORRECT answer for a question with a misleading instruction...arg!

Dr. Michelle G describing her thrilling experience after the meet:

Amy C practicing to be a model. Isn't she gorgeous?

HUHS physics instructor Steve Shields showing the class his ANCIENT HUHS folder from when he went to this school seven thousand years ago.

Yesterday was Eryn K and Timmothy O's wedding! How lovely! I went with Melissa Z. She wore a black dress with a white ruffle thing down the side, and I wore all black with a white tie. Hehe.

I don't remember why I took this picture. I think I was testing the camera.

The kiss!!!

The dance!!!

Here's the bride herself!

Back at Subway last night... Ever wonder what the inside of a Subway cash drawer looks like? Specifically, this is the locking mechanism that Taylor managed to, um, "break."

Matt K eating a cookie by the chip rack. Pretty self-explanatory.

Matt K manning his post. Wait, where does he work?

So Dyan kindof accidentally blasted Matt with water. Um, hah!
